  • Reproductive choice for men summarized

A man's reproductive choice today is basically choosing which vagina to put his penis in, some times.

After that comes voluntary or forcible expropriation of wealth from man to woman.

    That is wrong.
A feminist told me a joke: What slave is not a slave? A slave master.

The "some times" is all too right. A man can't have much choice without being shamed, and even then, I've heard of men being falsely accused of rape, or some other sexual crime, for refusing to have sex. I'd say what the accuser is a sexual crime.

SO is post-vasectomy and getting the count checked this week.

We had a really interesting talk about vasalgel...he like so many men had the choice of having children made unilaterally in his first marriage. He loves his daughters and does not regret them, but you could see he was stunned at the idea of real reproductive choice.

We are too old for all that...but I can imagine how positive this kind of choice process would have been for us as a couple.

That's an immaculate and bloodless way of putting it.

I hope the male pill is near.

You have the choice to say no.

No you may not have my genetic material.

No you may not be responsible for birth-control.

No you may not have sex with me without MY condom.

No you may not dispose of my used condom - that is MY JOB ONLY.

As men we DO HAVE REPRODUCTION CHOICES. I think we men have undervalued our genetic material, to a mere orgasm. We compare our position to that of women - oh, poor us, we have no pill to take, only vasectomies for us! Oh, poor us, we are so desperate for sex, we will forcibly have to forego our rights!

The pill gave women all rights and no responsibilities, and another tool they can use to manipulate men unawares. Is that what we want? All rights and no responsibilities? Take a pill and no problem, everything is back to fair and equal?

I, for one, do not like that kind of logic - female logic.

Just use the rights that you already have - say no.

The answer, as usual, is prostitution.

There is an easy way that men can GUARANTEE they will not have children..

All these men who moan about how they were "tricked" into having kids.. What fools.. They should have known women CANNOT BE TRUSTED with Cuntraception..

The other side of the equation..

              How can men HAVE children?

              Is far more problematic..

First, one needs a consenting breedsow..

Women really have 99% of the power in this area of life.. And everything a man does regarding it, has to bear that fact in mind..

I agree with most of what you said, except of course it's not realistic. Men and women both make mistakes and have lapses in judgement.

The issue isn't that men don't have the right to say no, we always have. So have women. The issue is that when women make the same misjudgement that a man makes the world rises up to help. The man is simply at the mercy of her whims at that point.

That's the double standard. If the woman is able to say' I don't want this kid, I'll Abort.' Society tells her thats a great choice because it wouldn't be responsible to bring a child into the world if you're not ready. If she says 'I'll have the child but I'll adopt it to a willing family.' Society says it's great again because there is always someone out there who would love a child but can't have one of their own. If she decides to have and keep the child society tells her she's brave and wonderful for being a mother. In each case the woman gets a hardy pat on the back when really all she did was open her legs for someone and accidentally got pregnant.

The men on the other hand have NO say. We could be in the exact same position as a woman. Too immature or not ready to be a parent. It doesn't matter in our case. In each decision she makes the same people lauding her are admonishing us. We as men were wrong to get her pregnant. Because we did this horrible thing we are now required by society and law to be responsible for this child for the the rest of our lives.

To simply tell men to just say no isn't going to solve anything. The way to solve the problem is allow men equal rights to the mother to decide if we wish to be responsible for this mistake for the rest of our lives. If men were given the option to vacate any parental rights or responsibility like a woman, I believe that women would be able to make a more informed decision about their choice.

I am a father of two beautiful children. My wife and I spoke at length about having children and how it would effect our lives before we even started trying to have kids. That's how it should be. Both adults consenting to the life they have opted to bring into the world.

                IMHO.
I am a man. I have no need to prove it to anyone through word or deed.

The problem with a male contraceptive pill is not that it is difficult to create a pharmaceutical product that prevents a man from producing viable sperm, but that it is difficult to do so reversibly without making the man impotent for the duration.

                  But research seems promising.

Since feminists are so up in arms about "PIV" sex, I would propose that all men boycott the use of vaginas in favour of other parts of the female body unless reproduction is the actual intention.

The best form of contraception is not an aspirin held between her knees, but semen deposited anywhere except the vagina.
My manner of thinking, so you say, cannot be approved. Do you suppose I care? A poor fool indeed is he who adopts a manner of thinking for others!

I'm wagering the male pill will come around in about 5 years

When it does... ohohohoh >: )

The most significant effect of any "male pill" will not be a reduction in females getting pregnant, it will be an increase in the number of men wondering HOW "their" women managed to get pregnant..

This is why I'm thinking of getting a vasectomy and not telling anyone.

That way, if I ever get a woman claiming that "I am the father" I can just laugh in her face and walk away.

Well, that is certainly one sure way of dealing with it! Though you would be surprised how many men have the snip, get the news of her pregnancy.. Then next thing you see they are playing the happy daddy.. To some other blokes kid! Never underestimate the power of a womans greatest weapon.. The waterworks..

                              That doesn't work on me.

I'd like to think crocodile tears don't work on any red pill man.
