The Human Rights Commission has examined the plan and considers it a ''special measure'' designed to redress gender inequality, and therefore allowed under the Sex Discrimination Act.

I suppose semi-retirement is out of the question. I trust she's working harder for this higher pay...

I'm not sure where I read it but in the US comparing wealth there was a report that women control more wealth in the US than men due to this death penalty. I'll see if I can find this...

Women live longer than men. So for married women, they not only have their own super, they ALSO inherit their HUSBAND'S super when he dies.

It's unmarried women with children who don't have enough retirement money, and that's mostly because they work lower paying jobs.

Totally for continuing to pay super during parental leave. That reduces the burden on women who need to take time off to have a child but come back to work.

Not so much for paying them at a higher rate. That's just bullshit. It sounds like stay-at-home dads could become more popular.

Spoon boy: There is no Patriarchy.

Apparently, women get only 77 cents for every dollar a man earns. We only have 23 cents left, but feminists insist they want the rest.

Superannuation aside (which we have to recognise is still relatively new), don't women spend more than men? Hence less savings? (Or at least widening the gap)
