  • Taylor Swift And Katy Perry Are Everything That’s Wrong With Feminism

2 women that go around waving the feminist flag... so... what they do that is so wrong?

    So let's find out:

Taylor Swift just released a new single, “Look What You Made Me Do,” from her upcoming album. It’s garbage.
I have to say... I agree. But since when you have to be a talented artist in order to be a good feminist?

My sisters and I have been longtime Swift fans. I’m pretty sure we had her inaugural self-titled album with the butterflies on the cover in 2006 and have been fans ever since. We’ve gone to her concerts, bought all of her albums and a bunch of her swag. My sister Christina texted me this at 2 a.m. — a few hours after “Look What You Made Me Do” dropped.
This followed by a picture of a phone screen message window where her sister is telling her, at 2 AM that she does not like the new song...

But that's besides the point... what kind of people is such a hardcore fan of Swift??? in this modern times where you can get so much quality for free... I see no excuses for such... choices.

This pretty much sums up everything Swift fans are feeling right now. Swift was one of us — a nice girl from the suburbs who liked to write songs about things that happen to all of us, from heartbreaks to bullies, to growing up.
And feminists complaining day and night about how superficial she was...

The choruses were usually a rallying cry against meanies or ex-boyfriends or a sweet note of appreciation to her family. But “Look What You Made Me Do” is as shallow and nonsensical as her feud with Katy Perry that supposedly started because of some murky back-and-forth over backup dancers.
So basically her music have always being crappy... but now she is trying to make it a bit spicy with some drama in the mix... Still we have not got to the feminsit part of the argument...

    This is literally the chorus.

Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me do
Ooh, look what you made me do
Look What you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me do
It’s repetitive garbage that’s rooted in nothing.
Common... those lyrics have capture the whole spirit of this generation...

What is really annoying is that in the video, it actually does not show what she was made to do... unless she was made to loop that phrase... then we can see it.

Perhaps the most telling part of the song is when Swift says into what sounds like a telephone:

I’m sorry, the old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now.
    Oh ’cause she’s dead!
maybe she is just hiding form some debt collectors?

If the old Taylor — the one with all the talent who made us feel like she was one of us — is really dead, then rest in peace. It’s also weirdly coincidental that Taylor’s music video looks very similar to the title sequence in FX’s “Feud,” a drama about the real-life rivalry between Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. In the show, the two women are pitted against one another by their male puppet masters who control 1960s Hollywood.
I have not idea what the feminist is talking about... I have been reducing my garbage intake, so I am a bit disconnected of what is goign on...

Does Taylor even realize that her attempts to pose herself as a feminist have apparently driven her to mimic the title sequence of a show that’s about how men exploited a female rivalry for their own gain?
OK... so this is the argument that explains why Taylor Swift is not a feminist... So what about Katy Perry.. in her videos is she lighting up some "torches of freedom"?

I had hoped that Taylor’s bad reputation among Woke Internet types would make her realize she’s never going to be a good feminist. In the days leading up to the release of her new single, it seemed like she was going to double down on her reputation as a problematic woman and escape the entrapment of the same political forces (feminism, intersectionality, Hillary Clinton) that seem to have broken Perry.
Wait, what? to be a good feminist you have to escape the trap of feminism?

Speaking of Perry, we need to talk about the new music video for “Swish Swish,” which the singer reportedly released early to steal some of Swift’s thunder. The song is a thinly veiled jab at her longtime, blonde rival. In fairness, I actually do like this song. But this video is so eye-gougingly awful. I just can’t.
    Another bad piece of music...

Since her BFF Hillary lost the presidential election last year, Perry got a terrible haircut reminiscent of Brittany Spears circa 2007 and has live-streamed a therapy session and an awkward woke dinner party where her friends badgered Kaitlyn Jenner for supporting Donald Trump. This latest video is no exception from this sad, downward spiral.
It is Britney Spears... no Brittany Spears... Standards of journalism are pretty much nonexistent today...

So, Katty Perry is a bad feminist because she overreacted to Hillary loosing the elections??? in that case... who is a good feminist then?

First of all, the video is 6 minutes and 24 seconds long, far too long for the visually disturbing onscreen atrocity that is this video. The storyline that plays out onscreen doesn’t really make sense. An underdog team of girls face off against a team of burly players. They’re obviously outmatched and struggle the first half of the game.
But that is the fantasy of every feminist... to start as a failure, but at the end defeat the stronger and better patriarchy...

Then she rallies the team to do really gross things — like sweat profusely to create puddles on the court, or eat a Twinkie “Lady And The Tramp” style — to distract the other team. They end up winning, but her team’s apparent victory is nonsensical.
Just like real feminism... with the difference that in reality they would have menstruated instead of sweated...

These female pop icons of yesteryear have made themselves irrelevant. Their feud, which is rooted in little more than speculation, and the music inspired by this feud are trash. Both Swift and Perry have attempted to placate the Left by calling themselves feminists — Perry herself has touted her latest album as “purposeful pop” — and it’s gotten them nowhere.
Oh well.. to bad then... Feminist icons are talentless and crappy people...

Woke Internet is not pleased these stars are not doing enough to speak out against Nazis and the like. And now they’ve disappointed their fans with songs that sound like clanging cymbals and lyrics that amount to little more than “PAY ATTENTION TO ME!” The politics eating away at their souls have also destroyed their talent. It’s time they abandon it and look elsewhere for inspiration.
And there we have it.. now to be a feminist you also have to have some talent, or some redeeming quality... looks like standards are going to get hard... who will survive the purge?
