  • Men allies of feminist fail one more time...

"One of the struggles as a feminist is in getting people to listen to you — and then not to write you off by using the stereotype of the crazy, emotional woman. Women also often don't feel safe or comfortable speaking up when they see something sexist. But men don't have that problem. Men can challenge fellow men in a way that women can't, and if you use that opportunity to try to educate other guys, or just send the message that sexist attitudes are not OK, that can go a long way. It can feel awkward, but it's worth it."

So... a man decides to support women equality and become a feminist allie... He tries to see what he can help with...

Feminist website after feminist website... video after video... there is an idea that always pops up: "use you male voice, to speak out the message of feminism"...

Looks like this allies have being repeating the good gospel of feminism a little bit too much...

Feminism; the same movement that brought to us words like "mansplaining" and "manspreading"... now introduce a brand new word: "hepeated"...

This is basically when a man repeats anything a woman ever said... so... he repeat... hepeat...

So all this manginas out there... trying to be good feminist allies... using their male voices to repeat the message of feminism... well... all this time you have being just hepeating, and that is now oppressive, and you are part of the problem.

"Hepeating is perhaps the most insulting example of all, because it involves someone else taking credit for our idea and then – even worse – being applauded for it because, somehow, the fact it was delivered by a man gives it more credibility, more gravitas. We may be some way off eradicating the practice of hepeating, but personally, I can’t wait to use this new addition to my vocabulary to call it out."
