  • Dads!

We do a great job here of highlighting the problems that men face, unfortunately it can leave people feeling a little glum in the face of the the many negative stories.

Your friendly cave-dwelling Gruffalo is here to help stem this tide and remind everyone that we are awesome.

First up, Dads. Dads are the fucking shit.

Feel free to add photos, stories, whatever just to point out that Dads are pretty darned awesome.

My dad worked his ass off and put up with a lot of bullshit but when he came home he made up for lost time. My fondest childhood memories were of him making up nursery rhymes and watching Peter Sellers movies to hear him laugh even though I didn't completely understand yet why they were funny. I laugh because my dad taught me a sense of humour.

                      RE: Dads!

I remember watching the moon landing with my Dad and Grandpa when I was 7 years old in 1969. As Neil Armstrong uttered his famous phrase while setting foot on the moon surface my Grandfather yelled: "Gode ??Gud! De gjorde det!" (Good God! They did it!), both my Dad and Grandpa had tears streaming out of their eyes. The next day my Grandfather went out and bought me a model rocket kit with a launch pad and an electronics experimenter kit from radio shack. That moment put my mind on the discovery of the world of science.

I was cleaning out my wallet the other day. There it was. There was a tooth in my wallet. It is no longer tooth really. Years of it being in my wallet has reduced it to tooth fragments. On one hand the reason for me keeping this tooth has long expired... yet I am unable to throw it away...

How do I post pictures? Anyway, I just googled "dad doing pushups with kids" to find the picture that I liked/remembered and wanted to share. Found it pretty quick too.
